May 21 Doomsday

May 21 Doomsday. She is Marie Exley, a U.S. Army veteran who heavily campaigns this doomsday warning. Exley is a member of the U.S. independent churches that preach through radio broadcasts and the Internet. This church group is claiming that the prediction based on their Bible. They are aggressively spreading the message of doom through billboards, benches at bus stops, the caravan, and mobilize volunteers to distribute pamphlets in various corners of the city, from Bridgeport to Little Rock, Arkansas. And to spread the message outside the U.S., they even have a group of volunteers who would go around Africa and Latin America. May 21 Doomsday

May 21 Doomsday. Forget the speculation that the end of the world will occur on December 12, 2012 as the end of the Mayan calendar. An independent Christian group in the U.S. even predicts the end will come more quickly: 21 May 2011.

“Many people might think: the end will come, let’s celebrate. But our Lord commanded us to give a warning,” said Exley. “I could be like everyone else, but it is better to know when the apocalypse comes, you know, you will be safe.”

In August, Exley left her home in Colorado Springs, to work at a community radio in Oakland, California. The radio is a radio of Christian ministry headed by Harold Camping – the most responsible person for this version of end time prophecy. “If you still want to say we’re crazy, please. But it never hurts to see this message,” said Exley. Harold Camping (89) believe the Bible basically functions as a cosmic calendar that exactly describes the things that can be foreseen.

This retired engineer claims that his calculations are based on the Bible. Various external events, such as Israel’s founding in 1948. According to him, these are signs that confirm the accuracy of his calculations. “Without a doubt, I believe that May 21 is the day of appointment and judgments,” he said.

Camping believes, in October 2011, the faithful people will be taken to heaven and the sinners will still in the Earth to get the punishment. What if May 21 passed without anything happen? “If May 21 passed and I’m still here, then I might be not saved. Does that mean the word of God is not accurate? Not at all,” he argued. Prediction of Camping is not believed by many other churches. They said no one can be sure about the day or hour of the universe will end. Hot News Today

Well, Camping’s prediction is not something new. A Baptist group leader, William Miller, had predicted the world’s end was on October 22, 1844 ago, but the sun still shines brightly to this day.
